नॉन-रिटर्न (चेक) वाल्व तेल को केवल पंप से सिलिंडर की ओर बहने देता है और उल्टे प्रवाह को रोकता है, जिससे भार द्रव को वापस नहीं धकेल सकता। अतः उत्तर है: एकदिशीय प्रवाह सुनिश्चित करना, कोई बैकफ्लो नहीं।

A non-return (check) valve allows oil to flow only from the pump to the cylinder and blocks reverse flow, so the load cannot push fluid back. So the answer is to ensure one-way flow with no backflow.
