असम सरकार ने अपने चार लाख से अधिक स्थायी कर्मचारियों को शून्य प्रीमियम बीमा कवर देने के लिए भारतीय स्टेट बैंक और यूनियन बैंक ऑफ इंडिया के साथ समझौता ज्ञापन (MoU) किया। इसमें कम से कम 10 लाख रुपये का टर्म लाइफ कवर और 1 करोड़ रुपये का दुर्घटना मृत्यु कवर शामिल है।

The Assam Government signed MoUs with State Bank of India and Union Bank of India to provide zero-premium insurance cover to its permanent employees, over four lakh in number. Benefits include at least Rs 10 lakh term life cover and Rs 1 crore accidental death cover.
