1.
A solution with pH 2 is how many times more acidic than a solution with pH 4?
Show answer and explanation

Answer: (B)

100 times

pH is logarithmic: each unit is a 10-fold change in [H⁺]. From pH 4 to pH 2 is 2 units, so 10² = 100 times more acidic.
2.
Which hypothesis of Dalton's atomic theory explains the law of definite proportions?
Show answer and explanation

Answer: (B)

Atoms combine in simple whole-number ratios to form compounds.

Dalton's postulate that atoms combine in fixed, simple whole-number ratios to form compounds explains why a compound always has the same proportion of elements by mass (law of definite proportions).
3.
What is the process of planet formation through the collision and sticking together of small celestial bodies called?
Show answer and explanation

Answer: (C)

अभिवृद्धि (accretion)
Accretion

Accretion is the growth of planets as small bodies (planetesimals) collide and stick together. Differentiation is the later layering of a planet's interior. So the answer is Accretion.
