According to which of the following laws does 'every object will remain at rest or in uniform motion unless an external force acts on it'?
Show answer and explanation

Answer: (C)

Newton's first law of motion

Newton's first law (law of inertia) states that a body stays at rest or in uniform straight-line motion unless an external unbalanced force acts on it. The third law is about action and reaction.

What term is used for the alternative forms of a gene?
Show answer and explanation

Answer: (A)

(Allele)
Allele

Alleles are alternative forms of the same gene found at the same locus on homologous chromosomes, e.g. tall (T) and dwarf (t) in pea. A locus is only the gene's position.
